Its been awhile!

Hello to all!!!

I took a blog break and have been busy sewing up a storm...but I had to come out of hiding eventually! So here I am!!! I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving. Gearing up for Christmas yet? Well its promises to be a busy month!

I am excited to say that Carla and Jennifer have teamed up to bring you two new patterns for mommy and daughter.... the Vanessa and the Bettyanne. These top/dresses are super comfy and stylish! The straps have a plain version and a ruffled version and the gathering at the band becomes so hip! I also love the addition of pockets.....everything is better with pockets, right?!!!! I made a test version of the dress and it sewed up like a dream. I have an idea for another one to make as well!

This is the top showing the band and ruffled sleeves...or flutter sleeves.

Here is the back. I made a full-length maxi dress length.
Here is a close-up of the back. There is stretchy elastic to ensure a great fit!
 Pocket detail....love these too!
And here is a look at the front full-length.

The pattern will soon be available in our Etsy store but if you are dying to get your hands on it....check out Jennifer's SisBoom Pattern page which has these patterns and more!

In other news, Sewing Story Projects on Facebook has had a wonderful time this fall sewing up some special things for my wonderful customers. I have really enjoyed branching out and making things for others. Not sure what took me so long! I do have some exciting news though. I just purchased a new sewing machine called the Ellisimo Gold. Basically it is the most awesome machine known to man-kind. It has a host of awesome features which I hope to employ to make even more (and better) customs for my customers. Among its features, it has a large hoop, 8"x12", it has a drawing pad that digitizes what you trace or draw so you can stitch it out. It also has a camera which helps to accurately place designs and it can find its place when you rehoop! There is so much to talk about but I will probably just do a separate blog post all about it!!! Can you tell I am over-the-moon about it???

I am off to grade papers but in the mean time I will leave you with some pics of the dresses and things I have made this fall. Also, feel free to "friend" Sewing Story Projects to get in on the newsfeed.

God Bless,
Cathy
